Dear Ones,
In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, welcome to the web presence of Saint Benedict's Reformed Catholic Church. "Saint Benedict's Chapel" is located at 1109-B Main Street in the heart of downtown Lubbock, Texas. One of our primary goals is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the poor and/or homeless of Lubbock and beyond.
We are a member parish of the "Reformed Catholic Church" in the "Diocese of Divine Mercy". Our pastor, the Most Rev. Barry A. Ferguson, OSB, is our Diocesan Bishop. The Most Rev. Phillip Zimmerman, RSJ, Th. D, is the Metropolitan Archbishop and Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Catholic Church.
Please be assured that ANYONE who is looking for a church home or seeking a closer relationship with Jesus Christ will be welcomed with open arms and understanding hearts. At Saint Benedict's you will find that our community worship services are both "Liturgical and Sacramental".
One of our goals is to introduce people to the "ancient faith and ancient worship" of our Catholic ancestors. We worship our Lord in spirit and in truth attempting to combine the best of the three main streams of "the faith once delivered to the saints": Catholic, Evangelical, and Charismatic. We continue in the faith and practice taught by the Apostles in caring for God's flock through Service, Scripture, Tradition, Sacrament and Liturgy. Our Benedictine clergy provide pastoral assistance and service to anyone, regardless of denominational affiliation.
Our Mission Statement:
We, the people of Saint Benedict's Reformed Catholic Church, are a community of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, who worship together in the Catholic tradition. We are called to live and spread the Gospel through the grace and power of the Holy Spirit, ministering to each other and all humankind by sharing our time, talents, and treasures.
